Hotels & Resorts stocks are overpriced as fuck and the market hasn't realized it yet - $MGM 58k YOLO

Hotels & Resorts stocks are overpriced as fuck and the market hasn't realized it yet - $MGM 58k YOLO
In fact, most of the boomer stocks are overpriced right now due to the recent PFE and MRNA's vaccine news, but hotels & resorts stocks ($MGM, $MAR, $HLT) are the most inflated out of them all and will soon be given a reality check.
This is just my speculation but I believe the public is overly optimistic about vaccines and how the subsequent distribution and logistics will pan out. I'll keep my DD short and sweet.

The Race between the 4 Biotechs:

Pfizer (PFE):
  • 95% efficacy
  • 2 dose
  • 50 mill doses to be produced by the end of 2020
  • Must be kept at -70 degrees Celsius (-94 degrees Fahrenheit)
  • Submitted to FDA for Emergency Use Approval (optimistic timeline for approval = end of 2020)
  • People with special licenses can administer the vaccine shots
Moderna (MRNA):
  • 94% efficacy
  • 1 dose
  • 20 mill doses to be produced by the end of 2020
  • Must be kept at -20 degrees Celsius (-4 degrees Fahrenheit)
  • Hasn't been submitted to FDA for EUA yet, but getting documentation prepared
  • People with special licenses can administer the vaccine shots
AstraZenenca (AZN):
  • Currently in Phase 3
  • Expected to release data by the end of 2020
Johnson&Johnson (JNJ):
  • Currently in Phase 3
  • Expected to release data in February 2021

Relative Pricing and Comparison

MGM Resort International (MGM):
  • -14% pps of pre-covid levels
  • Occupancy rate 44%
  • Revenue: -68% vs last LYQ3
  • Negative EPS
  • 25% employees terminated
Other Industry Leading Boomer Stocks
  • CCL (cruise) = -57% pps of pre-covid levels
  • AAL (airlines) = -54% pps of pre-covid levels
  • SPG (mall) = -42% pps of pre-covid levels
  • JWN (retail) = -48% pps of pre-covid levels
  • LVS (casino) = -18% pps of pre-covid levels
MGM is inflated compared to the other boomer stocks as it's very much near pre-covid levels.

Macro factors

A sub-premise of this post is that whatever brough MGM's stock price to what it is today was artificial and it isn't reflective of a healthy incline. The volume popped off per vaccine news, but now the volume has significantly dropped at the current levels. Buyer power is at its tipping point and a single bad news can easily trigger a large sell-off as the good news have now all been priced-in. But what will trigger the sell-off?

The Sell-off Triggers

  • The relief bill's benefits is all set to end on Dec 31 (this includes government bailouts). We were expected to make stimulus negotiations post-election, but both sides aren't looking to work with one another. Other analysts predict that productive negotiations will only resume once Biden is in office which is in January.
  • Rising COVID cases. US COVID cases hasn't yet peaked as we continue to set new hospitalization and case records every day.
  • Thanksgiving is cancelled, but maybe even Christmas and New Years celebrations, too. Hotels&Resorts are one of the greatest attractions during Christmas, but it seems like we're going to stay in lockdown.
  • Vaccine Distribution&Logistics issue. As mentioned, countries and states will continue to face big challenges in vaccine delivery. One logistic issue in the headlines can induce great amounts of fear triggering sell-offs.
Conclusion: In the short to medium term, there are no news that awaits for hotel&resort stocks that points bullish. The buyer power has peaked and now, they are headed for a big correction.
Position: $MGM 26.5p 12/31

If a vaccine were to be announced tomorrow - what are you looking to buy immediately and why?

Title is pretty self explanatory. If a vaccine were to be announced tomorrow or a couple months in the future - what would you try to buy immediately/ what do you suspect would jump immediately?

Stock Watch List November 10, 2020

Good morning, here's my gap watch list:
Gap Ups: AFMD, AZN, CCL, CPE, CRSR, CUK, MEDS, SPR, XPER
Gap Downs: ARNA, BYND, JMIA, NBIX, PEN, PINS, QCOM, SBUX
Outlook/Game Plan: Looks like we are having some sector rotation going on. We are seeing stocks and sectors near bottoms being bought up (casinos, airlines, cruise ships, etc) and we are seeing selling in tech names. The QQQ is gapping down into it's short term moving averages on a pretty decent sized gap, the SPY just slightly gapping down. This will make it hard to short tech names out of the gate since most are gapping down into support. I will be patient today as patience has paid off in this market and until the volatility dies down a bit, I feel that's the best way to trade right now. If you are new to trading, make sure to have stops and targets calculated before entering any trade. Always take the stop, never hold through. Good luck out there.
*I do not add stocks under $5 to this list. If there is a stock that is under $5 here then it was above $5 when I added it*

32.4k YOLO $NCLH 15c 01/15/2021 with DD inside YOLO
I'm leaning very bullish on cruiselines for October.
Politics:
  • Trump administration will try to push a biotech firm to release good news for COVID vaccines before election. He also said that a vaccine could be available around the election time.
https://www.fiercepharma.com/vaccines/pfizer-sees-mostly-mild-to-moderate-safety-profile-phase-3-covid-vaccine-study
  • JPow and Mnuchin join forces to testify against congress to pass the stimulus bill.
https://stansberryresearch.com/articles/mnuchin-and-powell-signal-willingness-to-work-with-congress-on-providing-more-support-2
Pfizer (PFE):
  • PFE will try to reveal whether the vaccine works or not by end of Oct. If the trials show that the vaccine is promising, vaccine production will pursue the following month. Also claims that that their trials aren’t rushed and assures that their trials outcome will not have been influenced by the US election time horizon.
“The phase three trial is expected to include up to 30,000 participants between the ages of 18 and 85 across 120 sites globally, including 39 U.S. states, the company has said. If it is successful, they expect to submit it for final regulatory review as early as October. They plan to supply up to 100 million doses by the end of 2020 and approximately 1.3 billion doses by the end of 2021.”
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/09/03/pfizer-ceo-confirms-coronavirus-vaccine-trial-may-have-results-in-october.html
  • PFE’s trials are reasonable and test subjects are well diversified.
https://www.statnews.com/2020/09/12/pfizer-and-biontech-announce-plan-to-expand-covid-19-vaccine-trial/
  • PFE’s vaccine trials have been advertised more than ever compared to all of its competitors. PFE, imo, is the most reputable firm for vaccines - unlike MRNA and GILD (and other biotechs) that produced vaccines only to be questioned profusely about their low-effort, shady testing methods.
NCLH ops:
  • NCLH will start sailing again starting Oct 31 along with other cruises. Caveat: sailing might be pushed out to a later date due to the pandemic.
“Much of the cruise industry, including Royal, initially suspended sailings until mid-April only to extend it several times. Most cruise operators now say they don't expect to be sailing again until at least Oct. 31.“
https://apple.news/ANG6R8Ys6Rci0gV-icYDo0w
  • NCLH partnered up with RCL to strive towards a COVID-free cruising experience by establishing air-tight cleansing protocols.
https://www.cruiseandferry.net/articles/healthy-sail-panel-provides-recommendations-to-us-cdc-1
  • I chose NCHL over CCL and RCL because I believe RCL's price is slightly inflated and CCL seems to attract a lot of bad news compared to NCHL. Airlines seem to attract a lot of bad news as well. NCHL has the most optimal risk-reward imo.
Sector Rotation:
  • Tech had its pump, and therefore, people wont easily jump into companies that are obviously inflated due to the election fears. However, the companies that are reasonably priced are the companies that are currently being fucked by COVID (airlines, cruise, malls, restaurants, casinos, etc.) as their historical data is fairly priced in. Institutional and retail investors alike will jump into any of these companies when they’re presented with good news; and hence, it’s likely that there will temporarily be an overreaction to the good news inflating these prices.
Other Biotech’s Progress and Timeline:
  • AZN might be able to deliver vaccines as early as October if trials yield good results
  • NVAX starts its Phase 3 in October
  • MRNA might wait until end of the year to inform of vaccine effectiveness
Positions and the Play: Hold NCLH 15c 01/15/2021 for all of Oct (or at least until the vaccine news). $15 is a great strike because it acted as both the support and resistance for several weeks a few weeks back. If the vaccine news comes out, gauge the market carefully to find a good closing time. If there’s no vaccine pump, just close at the end of Oct. Assuming the price remains stagnant, it’ll only leave like 10%~30% dent on your current position. You also have Nov 5 - NCLH earnings that would hedge against your long calls. The risk-reward is very worth it.
Proof of YOLO:

Who wants some coffee?

Good morning everyone, get ahead of the week, follow your rules, let’s all make some money
Of note for Semiconductors (SOX), Japan is aiming to invite Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) or other global chipmakers to build an advanced chip manufacturing plant jointly with domestic chip equipment suppliers.
Of note for Automakers (F, GM, FCAU, TSLA), Volkswagen (VOW3 GY) CEO Diess reportedly told the Executive Board that the Co. is expecting to return to pre-COVID sales/profit at the commencement of 2023.
This week’s Barron’s articles argues that chains like Dollar General (DG) and Dollar Tree (DLTR) are focused on value, and as a result, they are a growth story when other retailers are not, noting that when economic conditions become more difficult for consumers, the dollar stores get going. A separate article notes that SoftBank (SFTBY) considering an IPO of its Arm Holdings makes sense, and it’s an important signal for investors about the future of the chip business. Chipotle (CMG) should “crush its earnings” this week, and Barron’s notes one sell-side analyst stating investors should buy the August USD 1,150 call option to cover the July 22nd earnings report. On banks (XLF, BKX), It might be time to embrace the uncertainty around bank names and consider Wells Fargo (WFC), the worst-performing of the big banks this year, noting that Wells has something the other banks don’t have: problems to fix. Goldman Sachs (GS) is a rare big financial company with an improving business and earnings outlook, Barron’s said, and it has a stock that looks reasonably priced at little more than 10x forward earnings. Barron’s argues that while shares of index providers MSCI (MSCI) and S&P Global (SPGI) aren’t cheap, both stocks could keep rising as new products and services translate into higher sales and profits

Goldman Sachs maintains a conviction buy rating on the shares, rising the PT to the street high from USD 3,000. Analyst Heath Terry updated his estimates ahead of earnings to reflect the accelerating e-commerce growth. Revenue estimates are increased by 3% per year on average, while EBTIDA is left unchanged due to COVID expenditure and for an increase in infrastructure spending due to faster growth in retail and AWS.
Comcast Corp. (CMCSA) NBCUniversal is reportedly planning broad-based layoffs to offset losses from the pandemic.
eBay Inc. (EBAY) Classifieds business auction has been awarded to Norway’s Adevinta for close to USD 9bln, where eBay will keep a minority stake in the unit, according to a source. Earlier reports noted it would be USD 8bln or above. Elsewhere, eBay (EBAY) is to begin expanding its management of payments globally; expected to deliver USD 2bln in revenue and USD 500mln in operating income in 2022.

Tesla (TSLA) is being probed by South Korean Fair Trade Commission, who launched an internal review of its advertising that described its autopilot as self-driving technology, according to Korea Herald citing sources. Meanwhile, it has also pulled another “demand lever” for it Model Y and has begun offering a lease agreement to customers for the vehicle.

Nikola (NKLA) chairman filed a new stock offering of up to 53.4mln shares related to warrants, but later noted it was just part of the process, adding “it’s difficult going ipo and after this, we’ll be full steam ahead”. Deutsche Bank note that the S-1 filing became effective, meaning 24mln warrants are now exercisable, which provides holders the right to buy shares for USD 11.50 and the 53.4mln shares owned by PIPE investors, enables them to be traded on the market. morning joe

The vaccine trade
The tug of war between cyclicals and tech stocks will likely continue for the next few weeks as traders weigh growing vaccine optimism against rising coronavirus cases and lockdown measures. The last few Mondays have seen outsized gains given strong vaccine results from Pfizer (PFE) and Moderna (MRNA), while AstraZeneca (NASDAQ:AZN) and the University of Oxford became the latest to report an interim analysis of their clinical trials overnight (see below). Cyclicals will likely start today's session with a leg up given the news as Dow futures rose 0.7% vs. the 0.4% advance of the Nasdaq. Predictions are also growing that the Fed will unveil more monetary action when it meets in December after the central bank said it will comply with a Treasury request to return unused funds meant to backstop five emergency lending programs. Interim results from Astra-Oxford jab
One regimen, given to some 2,700 people, showed an effectiveness of 90% when trial participants received a half dose, followed by a full dose at least one month apart. The other dosing regimen, given to nearly 9,000 people, showed 62% efficacy when given as two full doses at least one month apart. The combined analysis from both dosing regimens found average vaccine effectiveness of 70%. Despite a lower average efficacy rate than its rivals, the British shot has some distribution advantages. While vaccines from Pfizer (PFE) and Moderna (MRNA) have to be stored frozen, the Astra-Oxford (AZN) shot can be kept at refrigerator temperature and comes at a potentially lower cost.
Vaccine access and distribution
At this weekend's summit in Riyadh, G20 leaders pledged to ensure fair distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, drugs and tests around the world so that poorer countries were not left out of a post-coronavirus recovery. "We will spare no effort to ensure their affordable and equitable access for all people," read the communique. "We recognize the role of extensive immunization as a global public good." One of the questions still out there is what role America will play in the process. So far the U.S. hasn't joined COVAX, which is the WHO's flagship vaccine distribution plan.
Less than three weeks
"On the 11th or on the 12th of December, hopefully the first people will be immunized across the U.S., across all states, in all the areas where the state departments of health will have told us where to deliver the vaccines," Moncef Slaoui, head of the government's Operation Warp Speed, told CNN's State of the Union. Current plans forecast another milestone around May: a 70% immunization rate across the U.S., which "would allow for true herd immunity to take place." Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) and BioNTech (NASDAQ:BNTX) have already requested emergency use authorization for their product, while Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) will finish its application by the end of the month. Even if (or when) approved, there is uncertainty over whether the general public will trust the jab enough to take it. According to a Pew Research Center report in September, only about half of U.S. adults say they would get a COVID-19 vaccine.
Coronavirus therapies
A COVID-19 antibody cocktail from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:REGN), including casirivimab and imdevimab, has received Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA to treat patients who are not hospitalized but are at high risk of developing the disease. The cocktail was one of three pharmaceutical treatments given to President Trump for treatment of COVID-19 in October. It's the second antibody drug cleared this month for emergency authorization to use in a similar set of COVID-19 patients after Eli Lilly's (NYSE:LLY) bamlanivimab previously had won approval. Previous drugs cleared for COVID-19 use, such as Gilead's (NASDAQ:GILD) remdesivir, were only authorized for hospitalized patients. REGN +4.9% premarket.
Portfolio rebalancing
"We see some vulnerability in equity markets in the near term from balanced mutual funds, a $7T universe, having to sell around $160B of equities globally to revert to their target 60:40 allocation either by the end of November or by the end of December at the latest,” according to JPMorgan Chase. "If the stock market rallies into December, there could be an additional $150B of equity selling into the end of the month by pension funds that tend to rebalance on a quarterly basis," added strategists led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou. For the retail investor, is the 60/40 portfolio still the way to go? Recent contributors on Seeking Alpha have suggested otherwise based on pricing and real returns. See articles by Jussi Askola and KCI Research.
Pandemic hammers retail
Guitar Center, owned by private equity firm Ares Management (NYSE:ARES), has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as the coronavirus pandemic moved shopping online and weighed on purchases of new music gear. The company, which has nearly 300 stores across the U.S., as well as subsidiaries including Music & Arts, has negotiated to have $375M in debtor-in-possession financing from its existing lenders and intends to raise $335M in new senior secured notes. Guitar Center will continue to stay in business during the bankruptcy process, but it could miss another major shopping period due to weaker consumer spending this holiday season.
Lockdowns bite
Economic activity across the eurozone plunged in November after members of the bloc introduced new lockdowns and social restrictions to contain the spread of coronavirus. The flash eurozone PMI composite output index, which tracks both manufacturing and services sectors, came in at 45.1, marking the lowest reading in six months. Meanwhile, the ECB said it will continue its pandemic emergency purchase program as long as COVID-19 persists and continues to disrupt regular economic activity. Things aren't looking brighter. Germany is looking to extend its current lockdown into December as the number of coronavirus infections remains high across the country.
Latest China crackdown
The Trump administration is close to issuing a list of 89 Chinese aerospace and other companies that would be unable to access U.S. technology exports due to their military ties, according to Reuters. That would restrict companies like Commercial Aircraft Corp of China, which is looking to compete with Boeing (NYSE:BA) and Airbus (OTCPK:EADSY), as well as Aviation Industry Corporation of China. The list, if published, could further escalate trade tensions and comes just ten days after President Trump unveiled an executive order prohibiting U.S. investments in Chinese companies that Washington said are owned or controlled by the Chinese military. Dispatch Quest Guide

This is a community collaboration. The images were created by Original Hestia Familia and Original TechFam. The information you see was primarily provided by OppaiDragon of 1000 Sunny, while Cutelana and MGDragon also provided content for this guide. A bot that searches for the quests is available in Stardust Gardens Discord, set up by Larg. Spanish, German, and French translations for the guide will also be posted there/are available to be shared, time willing. (FR is starting, and it's time consuming to post the guides on Discord with proper formatting. They aren't currently up, but they soon will be.) EDIT: Special thanks to u/bubblesrocks for providing working links.
Dispatch is a series of stamina efficient quests that are not necessarily beginner friendly. They are meant for players with a variety of characters with higher limit break. Don’t be frustrated: it takes a while before you can consistently clear these with ease. The weather on the bottom of these quests changes based on the likelihood of a Great Success. A clear sunny sky is ‘perfect’, while the more clouds you see is the likelihood that you’ll have to do it again to get full rewards/have the quests clear. Great success clears provide iris, which adds up over time.
Tips
When filling quests, use characters with low CP, lower limit break, and/or are collab units to fill spots not required by the Confirmed units needed to successfully clear the missions. Autofill will put your highest characters first, making them unavailable for other quests where they would be needed to finish with a ‘Great Success’ and a clear sunny day.
Morning boards are the easiest to complete for new players. You don't need high level units, and it doesn't always require all the recommended units to get a clear weather result. You can claim finished quests at any time, to line up a special board unlock when it's convenient. Courtesy of AznTofu.

Daily Dispatch Quests
These come in a rotation of 3 at a time. Morning Board quests provide one 8, 12, and 24 stamina quest at 11 AM EDT. Three Night Board quests at 11 PM EDT include two 24 stamina quests and one 12 stamina quest. These quests autofill the Confirmed Units.

Travel focussed stocks, such as United Airlines (UAL), American Airlines (AAL) and Southwestern Airlines (LUV) are trading in the red, with some holding losses of over 4% on travel disruption concerns, as is Trip.com (TCOM). Casino names like Las Vegas Sands (LVS), Wynn Resorts (WYNN) and Melco (MLCO) are facing even further pressure as the confirmed cases in Macau increased to five. Elsewhere the journalists highlight that largest tech companies such as Amazon (AMZN), Microsoft (MSFT) and Alphabet (GOOGL) are competing for a larger share in esports. Cool Fact:
The damage counters for "Mission Progress" resets because each of us were doing so much damage. What I mean by this is that it rolls-over back to 0 much like a casino slot machine. Each member of the squad had their total damage counter going from above 50% down to below 10% again in an instant. So total damage dealt is unreliable.
This Excavation Summary
We've lost more than 10 excavators. Three deaths happened, last one around 110 digs had taken entire team about 10 minutes emptying clip after clip into into 5 drones. Extracted at 160 digs, could have kept going but we were getting tired and some really needed a toilet break.
We believed we've possibly could truly go endless. Stamina and endurance is the issue now.
Good luck out there Tenno. As always, you'll know where to find us. IGN: AznWarMonger
